Over the years, have you purchased so many dvds that you could start your own Blockbuster store? Think about the dust that your dvds are collecting and the space they use up. Stop the insanity and trade your dvds!

If your sick of watching Grease a million times, do yourself a favor and trade it! If you have horror movies from 1980, trade them. You can be trading with other people, who love movies just like you.

Six of the main reasons to trade dvds are as follows:

No dvd rentals

How many times have you walked into a movie store and the movie you wanted was out! You go back a couple of days later and it is still out! Out of complete frustration you pick a movie and regret it later. This leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, but yet you find yourself going back, hoping to find that one movie.

You can create your own dvd list

Normally for you to create a dvd list it would be expensive, but with trading dvds you can build a cheap list fast. In no time at all, you will be a master connoisseur of movies.

Receive dvds with no limits/no hassles

Imagine being able to trade as many movies as you want, and not being limited by a small movie rental selection. Most movie stores do not always have exactly what you desire. Trading dvds will give you what you want, when you want it.

Give dvds for inexpensive gifts

Instead of buying movies and going broke, you can trade movies for pocket change. Whether it’s a birthday or you just want to put a big smile on a friend’s face, there is nothing better than a good movie. What is your friend’s favorite movie? How will that person look when you give them the movie of a lifetime?

Forget about painful late fees

There is nothing worse than checking out in a movie rental store and the cashier looks you in the eyes and says, you have a late fee. Of course your trapped and have to pay it! How many late fees have you been charged? You can put a stop to those late fees by trading your dvds!

Hard to find movies now can be yours

You walk into the movie store and circle around the aisles looking for that one movie. Your looking for the movie that is going to excite your night. Unfortunately you never find the movie and, to make matters worse, you ask an employee. The employee tells you they don’t see it in the computer, but they can order it for you. What choices do you have now?

Imagine surprising your friends with movies, that they could never find at Blockbuster. Picture giving a hard to find movie as a gift to a friend or loved one. Just think, all your friends will be amazed at your new movie collection.

Imagine how it will feel to create your own dvd collection. You might want to start a comedy collection or maybe a horror movie collection. Let your imagination go and build the movie collection of your dreams! Take control of your movie choices today through dvd trading.

You can see the possibilities with this and you can keep the movie or you can trade the movie again. Break your movie monotony! Imagine being able to trade your dvds whenever you want.

Welcome to the future of movie trading and have a blast trading your movies!

Almost all you want to know is located on DivX’s main site, but DivX is a great video format that doesn’t take up lots of space on media, DivX can be quickly downloaded off the internet and can also be played back on either your computer or a DivX enabled DVD player.

DivX has been around when DVD’s became popular. Many people used to download movies with a special DivX player and a telephone line. Unfortunately, DivX lost out to the DVD format.

It was originally called The Big Heart. Daryl Zanuck the shrewd head of Twentieth Century Fox couldn’t buy the image of Santa Claus in a court room. But like so many ventures Miracle On 34th Street (1947) came about because of passion, in this case that of Director George Seaton who had gone to New York on his own and made arrangements with the real Mr. Macy and Mr. Gimbel to film inside their department stores. Impressed by Seaton’s commitment Zanuck gave the show a green light.

Who would play the little girl who didn’t believe in Santa Claus? Seaton agonized over it, until the assistant director remembered an amazing child prodigy from Santa Rosa, California who could cry on cue. Her name was Natasha Nikolaevna Gurdin renamed Natalie Wood after director Sam Wood . The same Natalie Wood who would later go out on a hotel room ledge and threaten to jump when her boyfriend Elvis Presley ignored her to play poker with Memphis Mafia. The same girl who would infuriate fellow cast members of West Side Story (1961) with her tardiness, her refusal to learn simple dance steps and her insistence on long lunch breaks to visit with her analyst. But the seven-year-old Natalie had none of the typical child star precocious behavior, she gained the respect of her co-stars on the Miracle set with her professional demeanor, earning the nickname One-Take-Natalie.

Like all filmed on location movies there were logistical problems. The sequence where Santa was taken to Bellevue was done without permission. The famous hospital would not cooperate with Hollywood because they had been portrayed badly in earlier films, they were not swayed by the sight of a sickly, freezing cold Santa Claus (Edmund Gwenn) bundled up under blankets in a car, waiting to shoot his scenes. The filmmakers were forced to shoot only the car approaching the building’s entrance and edit the rest later. Another difficulty was getting permission to shoot the Macy’s parade from the apartment dwellers on 34th street which had to be done right the first time, there could be no retakes. The film crew paid the ladies of the house to place the cameras in their windows. Then their husbands came home, complained about the inconvenience and demanded their own equal share. Most difficult to film was the sickly but determined Edmund Gwenn who would win an Oscar for playing Kris Kringle. He suffered from a bladder control problem but couldn’t stand the thought of someone taking his place in the parade. The children who stood on the sidewalk waving at Santa never saw the long tube under his cloak.

Overcoming his initial reluctance Daryl Zanuck who was famous for his memos, made suggestions to improve the film’s story. The mother Doris, played by Maureen O’Hara was too cold, she would scare a man like Fred (John Payne) off, she had to be made warmer to the audience by explaining that she had been burned by an earlier relationship and that’s why she didn’t want her daughter believing in Santa Claus. Zanuck also felt that they shouldn’t overdo the scenes where Macy’s employees recommend that their customers go shopping at Gimbels, just some simple dialogue was enough to get the point across. But despite the loud cheering by preview audiences when Santa Claus was declared sane in the courtroom scene, Zanuck never had full confidence in the film. He put it in theaters in July, the busiest time of year for moviegoers, and told his marketing staff to hide from the public that the film was about Christmas.

One reference in the Miracle script that’s now dated was when Kris Kringle’s psychiatrist mentioned a man in Hollywood who passed himself off as Russian Prince and owned a restaurant. It was a dig at Mike Romanoff, a colorful fraud whose Rodeo Drive eatery was a fun sanctuary for Hollywood’s most notorious figures. One night FBI head J. Edgar Hoover was dining at Romanoffs when he was approached by an actual jewel thief named Swifty Morgan. “Like to buy these gold cuff links?” Amused, Hoover offered $200. “Oh come on John the reward is more than that!”

4 Factors to Keep in Mind When Searching for a Flick

In the 21st century, many people still very much enjoy spending an evening out at local movie theater. However, with the costs associated with a typical ticket to a motion picture show, a person needs to take care to make certain that the picture selected is well worth the money being spent. There are some steps you can take in regard how do you identify and find the best movies.

1. When it comes to identifying and finding the best movies, the first step that you should consider taking is reading reviews in newspapers and magazines and watching reviews on television. Of course, many people are quick to pan reviews. These people make a number of assumptions about reviews and reviewers and oftentimes conclude that a review simply is not going to be helpful when it comes considering movies. Naturally, whether a person enjoys and appreciates a certain types of movies is a matter of personal taste in many instances. With that said, if you take the time to read and watch a number of reviews by different reviewers, you will find that there are reviewers that share your tastes and likes when it comes to films and motion pictures. In other words, you will find a reviewer (or more than one reviewer) who tends to like the movies that also enjoy. In time, you will find a reviewer (or reviewer) that you can rely on when it comes to newly released motion pictures.

2. In your efforts to find the best movies that you will enjoy, the Internet has become a valuable resource. One of the tools that you will want to consider taking advantage of when it comes to finding movies that you will appreciate and enjoy, are video clips that are now to be found on the World Wide Web. By previewing these video clips of soon to be released of just released motion pictures, you will be able to get at least a taste of what a particular film is all about. Of course, in releasing these clips over the Net, movie producers take care to make certain that the clips feature well done sections of the film. In other words, the clips that are placed on the Net are the best of the best when it comes to a given motion picture in most instances.

3. In working on identifying movies that you will enjoy and appreciate, keep in mind the value of word of mouth. In life, it is natural that you have similar tastes to your friends. Therefore, talk to those friends whose opinions that you value and see what they have to say about a given motion picture. If you have friends in which you share interests and tastes, you very well may enjoy the same types of motion pictures that appeal to your friends. (On the other hand, we all have at least some people in our lives that are polar opposites. Therefore, if you have such a person in your life, if they like a motion picture it may be one you hate and vice versa.)

4. Finally, as you go about the process of finding the best movies, you naturally pay attention to actors in different films. Most people tend to have favorites and tend to gravitate towards films that feature beloved actors. However, do not stop at paying attention only to the actors that are playing in a particular motion picture. Look at who is directing and who is producing. In Hollywood, indeed throughout the motion picture industry, there are directors and producers that truly are hot properties at any given point in time. By paying attention to who is directing and who is directing a given film, you will be able to have better luck landing on motion pictures that you will enjoy.

When considering ways to find the best possible movies, by following these tips outlined in this article, you will end up being satisfied with the amount of money that you spend on tickets to movies. You will fin that your money is better spent by following these pointers when it comes to selecting a motion picture.

Have you ever noticed how movie posters make heads turn, especially when they are not displayed at a movie theater? Do you feel that movie posters somehow connect you to a certain period of your life when that movie was shown in the theaters?

Movie posters have always had a certain magnetism around them that sparks off memories of the movie it portrays and the symbolism of the movie itself. For example, the classical movie poster of Gone with the Wind resembles the romance and tragedy of its time. Many folks who watched this movie for the first time during the 60s now are reminded of their youth whenever they catch a glimpse of this poster. They reflect on the naivety of that time and how they had imagined themselves as Rhett Butler or Scarlett OHara. Perhaps they had watched this movie with their sweethearts and are reminded of the good times they had then.

If you observe each movie poster with care, you will also notice that they have all been carefully designed and put together with great creativity. Of course, before the launch of a movie these posters need to look interesting, attractive or mysterious in order to qualify as publicity material. However, in order to be all that, the theme of a design needs to reflect the elements of the movie, as well as to be authentic and original. Most importantly, it must appeal to the mass audience. People should want to say to themselves, I wonder what this movie is going to be about when they see a movie poster. If this reaction is successfully created, then the movie poster has achieved its objective.

People collect movie posters for various reasons. Of course there are the teenage collectors who put up movie posters to reflect their individuality. Some swoon over their movie star idols and therefore put their posters up to show everyone and themselves who they love. Whatever the reason is, teenagers make up the majority of movie poster collectors.

Some adults make it a hobby to collect movie posters too. Its like collecting stamps, coins or baseball cards. They keep their posters safe and put up the ones that they love most. It may not bring much monetary satisfaction to them, but these posters are often an object of admiration. The way in which the elements within these posters are uniquely put together generates an enigma that no other item can.

Yet there are also those who frame up movie posters and use them as decorative pictures for their home. To them, the movie poster is a work of art and is to be admired. Also, to the romantics, movie posters remind them of a time in their lives which may have been enjoyable, happy or just memorable. Movie posters have a way of bringing us back in time, especially to a season when things were much less complicated, and movies were always great events to look forward to. Find all movies posters here to add to your collections.

Besides, he likes to have an account of his favourite movie posters and keeps updating himself. He has more than 8,000 digital movie posters and is still going on. Guess hes going to set some kind of record for himself!!!

I worked closely with Titus Moody in the making of the movie ‘The Last of the American Hoboes’. Recently I have found a few reviews of the movie on the internet. I was excited to see favorable mention of some my early work in the music business in some, others were not as flattering. There was a couple of misspellings and an error in fact in that the movie wasn’t released in the late ‘1970’s’ rather around 1971 or 1972. Below is a composite-example of a couple of them. I corrected the misspellings in this post. I have tried to contact the posters but so far have not had a response. There was no copyright protection notice and since the reviews deal with my work I believe I have the right to comment on them in this way.

If you’ve ever wanted a close up experience with real life hoboes and their stories this is one of those rare films that provides just that. Filmed in a documentary, story-telling form that provides the history of the hobo; going back to how they began riding the rails, looking for work during the great depression, and how they would put a mark near a house that was friendly to hoboes to the story of Hal Jon Norman-Actor and how he lost his leg while trying to jump on a moving train as a youth. A Juddy Phillips produced soundtrack the best cut being ‘Like A Hobo Should’ by Gary Revel also tracks by: The Chapparral Brothers, Wayne Storm, Brian Mark and sounds from the street and the hobo jungle brought by Hobo Actor Journalist The Nobel ‘Kid’ Chissel, Mike DeTemple, and The Salvation Army Band. The movie is rare and collectible. I saw it at a screening many years ago and bought one of the soundtrack albums at a garage sale. The soundtrack album cover-photography by Ken Berg folds out and is a unique collectible in it’s own right. Inside the cover it says, “A Judy Russell Gary Revel Byron Spears Movement”. The song credits show that Gary Revel wrote and or performed on about half of the cuts on the album. I remember Titus Moody produced and directed. The movie premiered in the late 1970’s at the Hobo Convention in Britt, Iowa. An enjoyable entertaining film.
